SOUTH BEACH, MIAMI
Millie and I were waiting at a Collins Ave pier for a boat to pick us up. Som was taking us to this party at a private residence where the only access was by boat. I am wearing the Escape Jumpsuit by Datura with BCBGMAXAZRIA belt and clutch.
At the villa we were with old friends Soo Yeon Lee and Jimmy Goldstein; it was a lot of fun but soon we had to go to the Delano where Domingo Zapata was hosting an art event. Domingo, Logan and I spent some time at Jimmy's house in Beverly Hills the other day; he is building his own nightclub and it's almost finished! It looks really cool, like futurism from the 70s. Here we are all cozy on our way to the Delano.
Jimmy and I took this photo once at the Delano where just a couple of days earlier, we bumped into Kanye West who was alone followed only by Kim Kardashian. Kanye was super cool and said hi to us before we walked away to Chez Andre.
Here we are again sitting in the outdoor sofas at the Soho Beach House, I don't have good photos because it's dark but this is like having your living room at the beach, right on the sand by the water. A great spot to start your night in Miami or to end it if you fancy a moonlight swim.
In front of us to the left, we had our friends the creators of The Struggle dance doing the main move. In "The Struggle" you pretend to suffer, cry, and actually struggle while dancing to the music. To the right is my friend Som (he doesn't like photos) and Katie.
This is a general view to the old Playboy Theater in Miami. We came here the first night for the Lady Gaga Foundation event (where lovely Millie performed) and it served as the venue for Le Baron de Paris as well.
Met Mr Playboy (above) and Ms Playboy (below)
Same as last year, Le Baron was doing pop up clubs around Miami with the motto "Where is Le Baron?", above Millie and I on the night they did at the Playboy Theater and below the graffiti on the walls on the night they did at the Shoreclub Red Rum.
The best spot was Chez Andre, again. It has the best crowd and the best music. There's something about walking in a place where they are playing New Order and then the 13th Floor Elevators. Of course there's time for Kanye too. I like how they balance oldies with new stuff, they create a gentle, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere. They want their guests to have fun, to sing, and to dance. And they certainly succeeded.
Here's our photo at Chez Andre taken by photographer Patrick McMullan.
Comment section is available now! what kind of music do you like best when you go out? what place would you recommend in your city? If you were in Miami, tell me what was your nightlife like.
