I haven't posted anything in a while because I have been busy with tons of work and meetings. I barely had the time to pack and I just brought a couple of things, which I regret a lot because you know how much they care about clothes in Italy. I am writing from the city of Venice, where "The Biennale", the most influential art fair in the world is going to be held. It's always a pleasure to be with my friend Domingo Zapata, seeing him painting is impressive, and I love the work he did in Venice (below there's a photo of my favorite painting - I want it so bad!). In the meantime, the social circuit is still in Monaco. I wanted to go but jet lag and Domingo held me here in Venice. I also missed the Cannes film festival, which is my favorite social moment of the year. I want to thank the Chapman University and in particular Mr Derek Horne for inviting me to Festival de Cannes and for arranging accreditations for me. Derek is amazing, I love him, he is the gay friend every woman should have. He will have his own film festival one day and it will be the best one! Congratulations to Abdellatif Kechiche for his film La Vie D'Adele - Chapitre 1&2 (Blue is the Warmest Colour) that took home the Palme d'Or. Good times for the arts and culture, I will be keeping you posted on the pieces and people that catch my attention and of course, the parties!
Hace dias que no pongo nada porque he estado con un monton de cosas de trabajo y reuniones. Casi ni tuve tiempo de hacer la maleta y he venido con cuatro cosas, de lo cual me arrepiento mucho porque ya sabeis como son los italianos con la ropa. Escribo desde la ciudad de Venecia (Italia), donde se va a celebrar "La Biennale", la feria de arte mas influyente del mundo. Siempre es un placer acompanar a mi amigo Domingo Zapata en sus andaduras, verle pintar es impresionante, y las pinturas en las que ha trabajado en venecia me encantan (abajo os pongo mi favorita - la quiero!). Mientras aqui estamos con los preparativos, el circuito social esta en Monaco. He estado a punto de ir pero el jet lag y Domingo me han convencido para quedarme en Venecia. Y tambien me he perdido el Festival de Cannes que es mi momento social favorito del año. Sin embargo, quiero agradecer a la Universidad de Chapman y en especial a Mr Derek Horne por invitarme al Festival de Cannes y por organizar mis acreditaciones. Derek es el amigo gay que todas queremos, que cree que eres guapisima y que todo te queda bien. Es genial y algun dia Derek tendra su propio festival de cine, será apoteósico! Corren buenos tiempos para el arte y la cultura, os mantendre informados de las piezas y la gente que me llamen la atención asicomo, por supuesto, las fiestas!
